Generating buzz in the Mission: Mission Bicycle, a customized bike shop on Valencia Street, which builds "stunningly distinct machines for city riding." Each fixed-gear bicycle is made to order with the customer's choice of paint (choose from 19 colors) and components (frame, steering, seating, drivetrain, and wheels). The shop's motto is "Bikes you covet at prices you can afford." Designed by Grayscaled, a local design collective, the shop's interior features light tables for displaying bicycle components and bicycle wheels as window treatments.
