Shopper's Diary: Cire Trudon in Paris by Julie

To be included on the next-trip-to-Paris itinerary: Cire Trudon, the historic rue de Seine candle shop in operation since 1643. I love the description of the Carmelite scented candle: "Mur ancien et humide," which they translate as "Old mossy convent walls." The candles are made from vegetal ingredients and 100 percent cotton wicks, and are free from any petrol derivatives. In the US, Cire Trudon candles are available at Barneys ($75 for the absinthe-green glass votives).
