Thank you for this inspiring collection of photos. Well done.
Lovely! We did a "bicycle yellow" accent wall almost identical to the Brazil kitchen and it truly brightens the room.
Wow. Beautiful. It's interesting how even the smallest amount of yellow can warm up the most austere room, and still look modern. What a fantastic photo essay.
So funny to see the images from X&L, Xander&Leon, the outdoor space used to be the garden of the office were I used to work and we had lunch everyday on that yellow bench during the summer...it's even more beautiful in real than in the image. The kitchen is their own private kitchen and we had some really nice dinners with them. They are absolutely the best interior designers in the world!! Thanks for showing them.

Beautiful color schemes. Did you use benjamin moore paints because the colors look strikingly similar to BM's natura series.
I agree it does look very similar to the natura series, check http://www.aboffs.com/paint.htm to see for yourself.
You're not fooling anyone with that spam, Mr. "Benjamin Morre" . . . or is that Mr. Aboffs?
It's funny - I think yellow works so well as an accent colour (as all these fantastic images prove!) but so rarely works as a feature colour. I've got yellow lamps, prints, vases - but I'd be wary going the whole hog.
Could anybody tell me the name of the yellow bedside lamp in the Martha Stewart photo? i've being trying to track down something similar for ages with no success!
Somehow, I like the yellow accents much better than the pink ones that you showed in another post.
I just painted my husbands bathroom honey bee yellow, he has a large wide open room w/cool tile work on the floor and reddish paneled walls 5 ft up the 9ft walls it really warmed the room up I love the look. I used DashandAlbert's Cats Paw rug on the wood floor.
nice blog.
I'm lovin the yellow accent in these pictures. It gives me an idea on my next re-decoration plan for my home.
I think the key here is that it is, as described, a "Mondrian" yellow. Fave composition is the yellow Thonet chair.
