Lighting: New Fixtures from Schoolhouse Electric by Janet

Issue 1 · A Fresh Start · January 5, 2010

Portland, Oregon–based Schoolhouse Electric recently introduced several new and noteworthy lights; we especially like the industrial chic fixtures with exposed parts and cloth wiring.

Above: The Keene Sconce in antique black with khaki twisted cloth cord; $159.

Above: The Azusa with galvanized canopy and rod with clear glass shade; $135 as shown.

Above: The MIT Cage Light, shown in satin nickel with black vinyl cord, is $109.

Above: We have a weakness for ceiling socket fixtures (see 10 Easy Pieces: Ceiling Socket Fixtures); the new Defiance is no exception; $89.
