House Call: Cornwallville Pottery in New York

Located in Cornwallville, New York, the 1900 fieldstone farmhouse of Todd Carr (of Cornwallville Pottery) and Stephen Ellwood harks back to a simpler time; the exterior walls are 22-inch-thick fieldstone, the interior walls are plaster over lathe, and the floors are made from irregular pine boards. Carr and Ellwood document the history of the house at The Cornwallville Observatory; they've left most surfaces untouched and have furnished the interiors with a collection of vintage and found furniture sourced locally.
