Hotels & Lodging: Maison Couturier in Veracruz

April 6, 2010

A reader recently alerted us to Maison Couturier, a secluded tropical estate in San Rafael, Veracruz. Built in 1833 by French immigrants, the hotel reflects the original owners’ Gallic sensibilities; the eight bungalows and one landowners’ suite are furnished almost exclusively with refurbished antique furniture and accessories, from the patio chairs to the glasses in the bar to the fan in the lounge area.
