Discovered via The Kitchn: the just-opened Delancey Restaurant in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, a pizza project undertaken by Molly of the wonderful Orangette blog and her husband, Brandon, "an avid cook and lover of great food." We are especially interested in the story of the interior, which the couple designed in collaboration with design firm tbD.To keep costs down, the team sourced vintage and secondhand pieces (the chairs came from a local bowling alley) and fashioned light fixtures from apple cider jugs and pickle jars. They also sourced tiles from Heath Ceramics in Sausalito, CA, assembling a collection from the Overstock and Seconds Tile Room. For more information, go to Delancey; to follow the chef, go to Twitter.
