Tricia Rose grew up on the coast in Sydney, Australia, and spent time in her grandmother's stone row house overlooking the sea in Scotland. She now lives near the water in Northern California and produces a line of bedding inspired by sailor's signal flags, which are available online through her company, Coastal Cushions. We especially like her new Rough Linen Duvet of natural linen and her washed linen pillow covers. The machine-washable Queen Size Duvet Cover with buttons is $300; matching cushion covers are available—plain pillowslips with invisible zipper are $30 each, American buttoned shams are $35, and the Oxford shams are $45 each. The cover and cushions are not yet on her website, but can be ordered by phone (see website for contact details).

I am in love with Tricia, her linens, and her process. The Orkney is my favorite, yet i love her St Barts too! Definitely made to be an heirloom. I just bagan selling Rough Linen in my shop and it's already a store staple, customers love it. I believe in the simple things in life, and good linen is one of them.
