Designer Visit: Paula Leen Studio in Holland

First seen on Emmas Design Blogg (and instantly admired), the sublimely edited home of self-taught Dutch textile artist Paula Leen. Leen's house is located in a converted barn in Akkrum, a village in the northern province of Friesland; the lower level is given over to Leen's studio, while the upper level is home to her family of four. Leen's interiors are a study in contrasts, with raw elements such as reclaimed wood, steel, and concrete counterbalanced by textural pieces, most notably her felt and wool creations. In the US, select pieces of Leen's work are available through the Lisa Fontanarosa Collection.
