Design Sleuth: Mater Stool by Sarah

Issue 4 · Danish Design · January 28, 2010

Spotted—and admired—in this week's Hotels, Lodging & Restaurants: Kødbyens Fiskebar and House Call: Søren Rose Studio, the High Stool designed by Space, a Danish design firm, for Copenhagen-based Mater Group. Produced in a small Indian workshop, the stools fulfill Mater's mission to create "timeless and beautiful design" while also observing ethical business practices. The stools are available in recycled aluminum, white- or black-stained hardwood, or in dark-stained North American white oak.
