Tabletop: Normann Copenhagen Mormor Dinnerware Pieces by Janet

Issue 48 · Swiss Alps · December 1, 2009

Designed by Gry Fager, a recent graduate of the Danish Design School, the Mormor line of dinnerware is inspired by the patterns found on the humble kitchen tea towel. "I was inspired by the atmosphere and the character of the kitchen, particularly older kitchens from my grandmother’s time, and with Mormor (Swedish for grandmother), I've translated a classic pattern into a modern context." The Complete Mormor Dinnerware Set is $283.50 (a 10 percent discount over the price if bought individually) at Velocity Art & Design. Pieces are also available individually.
