This East Village apartment was a gut renovation that reflects the owners (and our) love of the reclaimed, re-appropriated, and reworked. The kitchen island has a custom copper surface on a re-appropriated USPS sorting table. The island is lit by factory light fixtures from the Czech Republic. The custom cabinets and coat closet are made from reclaimed floor boards.
Own entity created a warm and cozy atmosphere in this client's pied-a-terre with a thoughtful layering of architectural and decorative elements. The new millwork built-ins throughout coupled with an embossed ceiling treatment in the Living room and Bedroom add a second layer of detail to make the apartment feel lived-in and personal, even if only for a weekend's stay.
The new three sided bar in the lobby of the Royalton Hotel is warm and inviting, and acheives a natural continuity with the Royalton's lobby and restaurant. Own entity also designed custom light fixtures and bar stools, to work with the design of the bar. The result is a room that is both one-of-a-kind and a perfect fit.
Anfora is a small wine and cocktail bar completed with the all-star food and wine team behind the West Village's Dell'anima and L'artusi.
