This old boathouse was converted to a cozy guest cottage steps from Cable Lake in Wisconsin.
An addition at the back of this home overlooks Minnehaha Creek and houses a new kitchen on the main floor, a master suite above and a family room in the lower level.
Large windows offer views of the creek and park below. A glass cabinet allows light to permeate but gives privacy from neighbors.
The use of IKEA cabinets kept the budget for this kitchen manageable while Calcutta Marble countertops and custom hardware elevate the look.
